The restaurant’s name pays homage to the prominent family that used to live in the estate’s Roman villa, whose ruins are just a few metres away from the hotel, but also evokes basil, the aromatic herb.   • These are our suggestions to start your meal: Chestnut Lard Sausage Pie, “Drunken” Pears in Wine and Peppermint; Monte da Vinha Baked Cheese, Grilled Quinces and Walnuts
